15. srpna 2010 v 21:35 | Maria Regina/ Brittany |  Alvin and the chipmunks
Alvin and the Chipmunks is a 2007 American live-action/CGI holiday family comedy and musical film starring Jason Lee, David Cross, Cameron Richardson, Jane Lynch and the voices of Justin Long, Matthew Gray Gubler and Jesse McCartney. The film features Alvin and the Chipmunks and is based on the animated series of the same name. It was directed by Tim Hill, distributed by 20th Century Fox and produced by Regency Enterprises and Bagdasarian Productions.
The film was panned by critics as one of the worst films of the year but was a major financial success: on a budget of $55-$60 million, it made $217 million in North America and $361 million at the box office worldwide, and was the seventh-best selling DVD of 2008, earning over $101 million.
The story begins in the back of a hill, located in a forest during the summer. The tree that the chipmunks Alvin (voiced by Justin Long), Simon (voiced by Matthew Gray Gubler), and Theodore (voiced by Jesse McCartney) live in is cut down and driven to Los Angeles to become a Christmas tree. Once in LA, the Chipmunks meet struggling songwriter David Seville (Jason Lee) who had his latest song rejected by JETT Records executive Ian Hawke (David Cross) who was Dave's college roommate. Dave once had a relationship with his next door neighbor, Claire Wilson (Cameron Richardson). She broke up with him because she felt he was too busy, irresponsible and he had no time for her.
After winding up at Dave's interview, the Chipmunks hop into his basket and follow him home. Once at home, Dave discovers the Chipmunks, and is accidentally knocked unconscious. Upon waking, he kicks them out until hearing them sing "Only You (And You Alone)". Dave then makes a deal with them; they sing the songs he writes, and in exchange he provides food and shelter for them. However, all does not go well, as Dave's job presentation is ruined by their coloring on it, and when Alvin tries to set the mood for his dinner with Claire, things become weird and she rejects him after he tells her that "My life is being sabotaged by talking chipmunks". To make it up to Dave, Alvin, Simon, and Theodore go to Ian in an attempt to record a song and get a record deal.
Once the Chipmunks sing Dave's song to Ian, Ian signs them to the label and rehires Dave the next day. After a few singles, the Chipmunks become wildly popular. When Dave expresses concern for their well-being and insists that the Chipmunks are "kids" who don't need so much craziness in their lives, Ian convinces the Chipmunks that Dave is holding them back.
Eventually, Dave and the Chipmunks have an argument and, in anger, Dave tells them that if they like "Uncle Ian" so much, they should just go live with him. They become enchanted with Ian at first, but once they set off on a coast-to-coast tour, Ian takes advantage of their naivete, changing their image and working them constantly. Meanwhile, Dave misses the chipmunks and he wishes they would come back home. He calls Ian to see if he can talk to them but Ian refuses, and then conceals Dave's motives from the boys.
Later, the Chipmunks are wearing out, and it is all over the news. Dave, infuriated by what Ian has done to the three, decides to take matters into his own hands by infiltrating their concert at the Los Angeles Orpheum Theater.
Just before the big concert, a doctor says that the Chipmunks can't sing because their voices have given out. Ian declines to hand out refunds and orders the Chipmunks to lip sync. With Claire's help, Dave sneaks into the concert, but is grabbed by the security guards. When the Chipmunks see Dave being taken away, they realize they've been tricked, decide that they've had enough of Ian, reveal that they were lip-syncing and run amok, ruining the concert. They are soon caught by Ian just when Dave is about to rescue them. He locks them up in a cage and prepares to take them to Paris. Dave tries to convince Ian to let the boys go but Ian refuses. Ian then leaves in his limo with the boys and Dave chases them but the boys have already escaped to Dave's car. Dave immediately pulls over and admits that he loves them like his own family. Meanwhile, Ian looks in the cage and is shocked to see the boys have replaced themselves with merchandising dolls.
Sometime later, when the boys are fully accepted as part of the family, they invite Claire over for dinner again. Alvin accidentally causes a short circuit in an attempt to open a bottle of champagne. Dave is trying not to say it, but the short circuit causes a blackout in the kitchen. Dave can hold it in no longer and says it, letting out his trademark yell "ALLLLVINNN!!", to which Alvin responds with "Okay!".
An epilogue shows Ian (now unemployed and broke) with three squirrels trying to make them sing but fails to do so.
The end credits show several of The Chipmunks' past albums.

Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakquel

15. srpna 2010 v 21:31 | Maria Regina/ Brittany |  The squeakquel
The film features Alvin and the Chipmunks and their female counterparts, The Chipettes. It was directed by Betty Thomas, written by John Vitti and Jonathan Aibel & Glenn Berger, distributed by 20th Century Fox, and produced by Regency Enterprises and Bagdasarian Productions. It was originally scheduled to open on March 19, 2010, but it was moved up to a December 23, 2009 release instead.
During the Chipmunks' benefit concert in Paris, France, David Seville (Jason Lee) is badly injured after a falling billboard sends him flying across the stage into electric devices.
After the accident, Dave is rushed to the hospital. Even though he survives, he must stay to recuperate, leaving his Aunt Jackie to look after the Chipmunks, while arrangements are also made for them to go to school.
Arriving at the L.A. airport, the Chipmunks meet up with Jackie, who introduces her grandson, Toby Seville (Zachary Levi), who has an obsession with video games. After Jackie falls down a staircase and a luggage trolley crashes into her, she, too, is sent to a hospital, leaving Toby in charge.
Meanwhile, Ian Hawke (David Cross), now unemployed, lives in the basement of JETT Records. A FedEx truck comes around the corner, and a package falls out. Three singing female chipmunks, Brittany (Christina Applegate), Jeanette (Anna Faris), and Eleanor (Amy Poehler), who call themselves the Chipettes, emerge from the package and introduce themselves to Ian. Brittany says that, since Ian made the Chipmunks stars, they want to be stars, too. To prove their talent, they sing "Put Your Records On," and Ian hires them.
During their first day at school, Alvin, Simon and Theodore catch the attention of the females in their class. The jocks grow jealous, physically bullying them and resulting in all parties being sent to the Principal's Office. There, they discover that the Principal, Dr. Rubin, is a huge fan of the Chipmunks. She consequently asks the Chipmunks to save the school's music program by representing their school in the Battle of the Bands in lieu of being suspended for fighting. The Chipmunks immediately accept the offer. Meanwhile, when Ian receives his daily newspaper, he is shocked to find the Chipmunks on the front page. After he reads the story, he quickly sends the Chipettes to school.
Tension between Alvin and Simon develops as Alvin begins socializing with the jocks of the school. However, the one who is most affected is Theodore, who believes he is losing his brothers because they are fighting all the time.
When the Chipmunks meet the Chipettes, they gain crushes on their counterparts, but are soon forced to have a rivalry after discovering that they are with Ian. The Chipmunks and the Chipettes compete against each other in the Battle of the Bands. During lunchtime, Alvin meets up with Brittany, sharing a slight romantic moment with her until he warns her about Ian's past. Not believing him, Brittany leaves. Soon after, Alvin helps the school to win in a football game.
At the concert, the Chipettes sing "Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It)". Ian videotapes the Chipettes performance and posts it on YouTube, along with his phone number. Later, when the Chipmunks have to sing, Alvin fails to show up as he was hanging out with the jocks. This causes Simon and Theodore to forfeit the contest, as they can't sing without Alvin. After the singing, Simon and Theodore said that they cannot sing without Alvin, and they withdraw. Soon after, the Chipettes win the competition. When Alvin finally reaches on-scene, he finds the school closed and is ignored by his brothers at home. Later, Theodore runs away, leaving a letter in the refrigerator to explain his actions. He escapes to the zoo, where he accidentally winds up in the Birds of Prey exhibition. Alvin, Simon and Toby arrive just in time to save him and the four of them make amends with each other.
Soon, the Chipettes are hired as the opening act at a Britney Spears concert at the Staples Center. Unfortunately, the concert is on the same night as the school contest, so Ian decides to blow off the battle and make the Chipettes perform at the concert. However, Jeanette confronts Ian, telling him that they want to go to the school contest. Ian refuses and orders Brittany to sing alone at the concert on stage, with Jeanette and Eleanor acting as back-up. When she refuses, he threatens to send them to a barbecue restaurant.
At the school, the contest is approaching. Alvin gets a phone call from Brittany, saying that she and her sisters have been imprisoned in a cage. Alvin races to save them on his motorbike while Simon tells Jeanette how to open the cage on the phone. The Chipettes unlock the cage lid with Simon's help before Ian reaches them and manage to escape with Alvin on his bike. On the bike, Brittany apologizes to Alvin for not believing him about Ian.
Alvin gets help from Digger, who comes out from the manhole. Ian's limo hits a store, then emerges with a remote-controlled helicopter. Alvin jumps at the helicopter while Brittany throws the helmets at Ian. After he drops the remote, Jeanette grabs it, taking control of the helicopter. Eleanor throws her shoes in the ground, it hits the moving bike and it hits Ian's groin. Alvin and the Chipettes make their getaway successfully. The Chipmunks are preparing to surrender again, when Toby enters the stage and sings to Julie to stall the crowd, with success. The Chipettes and Alvin arrive and both groups sing "We Are Family". They win the grand prize and save the program.
Meanwhile, at the Staples Center, Ian attempts to impersonate the Chipettes while singing Single Ladies. He is booed off by the crowd and taken away by security.
Back at the contest, The Chipmunks and the Chipettes sing "Shake Your Groove Thing" and all of the students dance.
Later that night, Dave takes the Chipettes in, and they now sleep in a 3-tiered bunk bed in each side, the Chipmunks in the left and the Chipettes in the right. They wish good night to their own counterparts. Alvin refuses to sleep and turns on/off the lights at Dave. Dave trips over a skateboard, and Alvin finally goes to sleep and turns the lights off. The Chipmunks and the Chipettes photos can be seen in the credits.
The post credits show the jocks cleaning bleachers with Dr. Rubin watching over them.
An epilogue shows Ian being thrown into a dumpster backstage by security.

Meanwhile, Alvin and Simon are out in search of proof of werewolves (Munks on a Mission). Meanwhile, no one believes that Theodore is scary enough to play the role of Mr. Hyde. Little Alvin and the Mini-Munks

15. srpna 2010 v 21:20 | Maria Regina/ Brittany |  The little Alvin and mini-munks
Little Alvin and the Mini-Munks is a 2004 direct-to-video filmChipmunks' 1983-1990 television series, Alvin and the Chipmunks. Was written and created by Janice Karman, produced by Ross Bagdasarian, Jr., and directed by Jerry Rees. It was produced by Bagdasarian Productions, and was released on DVD in 2004 by Paramount Home Entertainment. It features puppetry used for the Chipmunks and the Chipettes.

The movie opens with Lalu, a friend of David Seville, putting up a banner saying "Welcome Chipmunks" on the porch of her magic cottage. One of her friends, Gilda (a talking cockatoo) believes that having children around is a bad idea. PC (a talking frog who believes he is one kiss away from being Prince Charming) says that his mom used to say "nothing warms up a home like children's laughter".
Dave arrives with Alvin, Brittany, Simon, Jeanette, Theodore, and Eleanor. Dave has to go out of town, and Lalu is happy to have six pre-schoolers stay with her and her friends. Sam and Lou, two gophers, report to the viewers at home about the feelings the characters are experiencing. Alvin doesn't like that Dave is gone, and Lalu explains that she felt the same way when she was little. They play the role of Peter Pan and Captain Hook for a while.
Later, Lalu tells Gilda, Alvin and Brittany a story about a sea serpent attacking a ship, when Simon comes in all wet. Simon explains that the toilet exploded, and it was caused by Theodore. Lalu sees that the toilet is filled with a hair brush, tooth picks, a toy horse, shoes, squeak toys, etc. Gilda tells PC that he was supposed to be watching Theodore. Theodore lies and said it was Gilda (Sometimes I Lie). Lalu explains that she was mad about the toilet exploding, but remembers that we all make boo-boos sometimes, and tells Theodore of a time she made a mistake. After hearing this, Theodore tells the truth, and Lalu congratulates him.
As Lalu is readying Eleanor for naptime, Brittany comes in saying that Jeanette stole and ate her lipstick. As PC sings "Rock-a-bye Chipmunk" to Eleanor, Alvin and Simon try to steal a napping Theodore's teddy bear with a fishing line, but Lalu stops them. Alvin explains that he and Simon didn't have any toys to play with, until Lalu opens a shelf full of stuffed animals. Lalu explains to Jeanette that eating lipstick could be a problem - for one, it wasn't hers; and two, lipstick isn't good for your tummy. Jeanette decides to get Brittany another lipstick, but doesn't have any money. Lalu suggests that Jeanette work for her, and she could earn enough money to do so, and Jeanette agrees.
Alvin comes in (dressed as "Super Alvin"), hiding from Simon (dressed as a magician) who demands his cape back. They get into a fight, until Lalu intervenes, and suggests that they figure out a way to take turns with the cape.
Suddenly, Jeanette comes in, dressed in yellow boots, an apron, gloves, a smog mask, ear covers and a feather duster (surprising Alvin and Simon), saying that she was ready for work; cleaning everyone's shoes, makes Lalu's bed, dusts off the furniture, scrubs the kitchen floor (with sponges tied to her boots), helps Lalu with the groceries, and helps Lalu with baking muffins (Jeanette confuses flour with a flower) (I'm So Sorry). Jeanette evenutally makes enough money to buy Brittany a new lipstick.
Meanwhile, Simon turns on a fan to help "Super Alvin" fly in the air, but he ultimately falls. Afterwards, Alvin and Simon with his magic, to try and bring a dead plant back to live (and it works!). That night at dinner, they get a call from Dave. The children explain what they did that day, and soon after a story (The Blue Bird), everyone falls asleep in Lalu's bed.
Next day, Alvin and Simon take some tin foil, saying that it will change the face of science forever. As Theodore follows his brother, Brittany comes in saying that Jeanette stole her oven. Jeanette claims she "borrowed" it. She explains that every time she asks, Brittany always says no. As Jeanette leaves to clean up the mess, a coin falls from Brittany's pocket. She explains that Tyler from school gave it to her, but Gilda comes in and says Tyler's mom called, saying that Tyler lost his coin. Then Lalu explains to Brittany that we sometimes take things that aren't ours because we really, really want them. And also that it is okay to be sad, but it is not okay to take things that aren't ours. Brittany realizes that Tyler is feeling bad, and has to give back his coin.
Meanwhile, as Lalu and Brittany go to Tyler's to return his coin, Alvin and Simon have used the tin foil to build a spaceship, pretending to be aliens. Theodore wants in on the fun, but his brothers say no, hurting Theodore's feelings (Why Can't We Play?). Feeling sad and mad at the same time, Theodore feels the need to hit Alvin. Lalu shows Theodore something he can hit; a balloon toy. Suddenly, Alvin comes and invites Theodore to play.
As they prepare for a tea party, Brittany explains that she feels much better about everything. Then Jeanette comes in after cleaning Brittany's oven, after which Brittany invites Jeanette to their tea time. Meanwhile, Gilda tries to have Eleanor (the infant) be a "proper lady". As Lalu, Brittany and Jeanette enjoy their tea party, Simon (dressed in tin foil) surprises everyone, chasing off Brittany and Jeanette. Then Alvin (with Theodore and PC on his shoulders, dressed in tin foil as well) surprise Lalu, who takes Eleanor with her as she runs away from the "monster". Sam and Lou also surprise Gilda by dressing up in tin foil.
That night, Lalu prepares Alvin for bed in the big bed, after having some fun with him. Next day, Alvin, Brittany, Jeanette and Simon wake Lalu up to tell her that she's in their band. But Lalu has to decline and take care of Eleanor (Baby Baby Baby). After many attempts, Lalu decides to call the doctor. The reason for her crying is that she had to burp and now needs her diaper changed. Seeing how much time Lalu is spending with Eleanor, Alvin becomes jealous (Dumped for Someone New).
Lalu talks to Alvin, and shows that even though she had to help the baby, she still had plenty of love to go around, even for him. They decide to have a special time together whenever Eleanor has her nap, and Alvin can help with Eleanor. Suddenly, Dave arrives, having finished his song, and the Chipmunks and the Chipettes offer to help practice (Friends).

chipmunk adventure HISTORY

15. srpna 2010 v 21:15 | Maria Regina/ Brittany |  chipmunks adventure
The Chipmunk Adventure is a 1987 American animated film featuring the characters from NBC's Saturday morning cartoon Alvin and the Chipmunks. Marking the first appearance of The Chipmunks in a feature film since their 1958 debut, The Chipmunk Adventure was directed by Janice Karman, and features the voices of Ross Bagdasarian, Jr., Janice Karman, and Dody Goodman.

When David Seville goes off to Europe on a business trip, the Chipmunks, Alvin, Simon, and Theodore are left at home with their babysitter, Miss Miller - much to the chagrin of Alvin, who dreams of world travel. While the three are playing an arcade game of Around the World in Thirty Days with the Chipettes, Alvin and Brittany begin to argue over which would win an actual race around the world. Their conversation is being eavesdropped on by Klaus and Claudia Vorstein, two European diamond smugglers. Seeing an opportunity, the Vorsteins approach the children, telling them that they will provide them with the means for a real race around the world by hot air balloon, with the winner receiving $100,000.
After tricking Miss Miller, the Chipmunks and Chipettes meet at the Vorstein's mansion, where they are told the rules: each team is given a separate route to follow, along with a chest of dolls, made in their own likenesses, which they are required to drop off to verify that they have visited all checkpoints. Upon dropping off one of their own dolls, they will receive a doll made in the likeness of the opposing team. In reality, the dolls being dropped off are filled with diamonds, and the dolls received are filled with cash, given to them by the buyers. Both teams begin their travels; while the Chipmunks go to Mexico City, the Chipettes are caught in a hurricane. Unknown to both teams, however, they are being trailed by two INTERPOL agents, sent by Inspector Jamal, who was informed by Klaus and Claudia's butler, Mario, of the Vorstein's operation. The agents silently follow behind as the Chipmunks and Chipettes travel to many exotic locations. Both teams meet up in Athens, where Alvin and Brittany begin bickering, each claiming they can "out-rock and roll" the other, with Dave and the two INTERPOL agents nearly spotting them.
The Chipettes then travel on to Egypt, where they are captured and brought to a young Arabian prince. The prince falls in love with Brittany and, oblivious to the diamond smuggling, agrees to return the valuable dolls to Jamal but declares that he is keeping the girls, and making Brittany his bride. Despite being showered with gifts, including a baby penguin, the Chipettes are desperate to make an escape. Still unaware of the contents of their dolls, they secretly try to retrieve them - only to find them guarded by snakes. Brittany and Jeanette "charm" the snakes by singing "Getting Lucky", then grab the dolls and escape just as Eleanor arrives carrying a small cooler.
Meanwhile, the Chipmunks, are camping in a jungle near a native village while taking a shortcut. Theodore senses something is wrong; Simon and Alvin don't believe him. Upon waking up the next morning, they find Theodore missing. While trying to find him, Alvin and Simon are taken captive by some local natives. They soon learn that Theodore is being worshiped as the natives' "Prince of Plenty". Alvin and Simon are quickly forced to wear loincloths and are made into Theodore's personal servants.
Meanwhile, the Chipettes learn that Eleanor's cooler contains not only food, but the baby penguin, whom Eleanor feels needs to be returned to its parents in Antarctica. The girls soon decide to head to Antarctica and sing the song "My Mother". However, Claudia is alerted to the girl's actions by her henchmen, and concludes that they must have discovered the diamonds and are trying to make off with them. She orders her henchmen to get the dolls back. As the girls deliver the penguin to its parents, they are attacked by Claudia's henchmen. The Chipettes wrestle with the men as they attempt to steal the dolls, and a doll tears as the henchman falls from the balloon. Grateful to the Chipettes, the penguins snowball the henchmen into submission as the girls escape. They then notice the torn doll lying on the floor of the balloon; Jeanette picks it up and diamonds fall out of it. Opening an opposing team doll, they find it full of dollar bills, and realize that the whole race was just a set-up. Realizing that the Chipmunks are likely in danger as well, they head off to find them.
Alvin and Simon, meanwhile, are forced to search a nearby cave for mushrooms, with Alvin growing increasingly fed-up with the situation. Inside the cave, they find a series of ideograms on the walls, which tell of the Prince of Plenty being sacrificed on a full moon, which is tonight. Before long, all three Chipmunks are tied to stakes by the natives, hanging precariously above a pit full of crocodiles. In a desperate attempt to delay their own deaths, they sing "Wooly Bully", which pleases the natives and lasts just long enough for the Chipettes to rescue them.
Together in the Chipettes' balloon, the kids return to Los Angeles, where they are met at the airport by Klaus and Claudia. After a high energy chase through the baggage claim (as the Chipettes sing Diamond Dolls), the two groups are forced into a car under the false threat of Miss Miller being kidnapped. Dave is arriving home to the airport at the same time, and hears Alvin's cries for help. Inspector Jamal runs up, identifying himself, and he and Dave begin to make chase. While it at first appears that Klaus and Claudia will escape, they are accidentally run off the road by Miss Miller, who was heading to the airport to pick up Dave. The diamond smugglers are arrested, and Brittany and Alvin begin arguing over who really won the race. An exasperated Dave breaks up the argument and guides them to Miss Miller's car, where the others await. Alvin tries to explain what happened, causing Dave to yell "ALVIN!" as the credits begin to roll.
